Toronto Climate Week (TOCW) was born from a bold grassroots vision: to create a Canadian platform that unites climate action with culture, innovation, and community. Its mission is to position Toronto as a globally recognized hub for climate solutions.

Founded by Becky Park-Romanovsky, co-founder of the nonprofit Climate North, TOCW emerged from a growing realization: the climate space in Canada is full of energy—but still too quiet and often siloed. There was an urgent need to connect the dots across sectors and make space for the kind of collaboration that drives real impact.

Under Climate North, what began as a handful of bootstrapped events, quickly grew into one of Toronto’s most trusted climate communities—catalyzing startups, sparking unexpected partnerships, and proving that the demand for something bigger was already here. TOCW is that next step.

We’re a homegrown team of volunteers, creatives, and builders—driven by love, hustle, and a shared belief in bold collaboration. TOCW is proudly community-built and community-owned. It’s not just about talking climate—it’s about sparking action, building networks, and turning Toronto into a global stage for climate leadership.
